Last year’s finalist Jadson Andre wasn’t going to give up his title easily, with spectacular high scores throughout the event, he set the standard for the day in terms of the quality of surfing required. Jadson stormed through the first semi final to beat fellow surfer and friend Miguel Pupo into the finals. The other semi final saw Alejo Muniz and Jesse Mendes battle it out in almost like for like display of perfect waves. Muniz just took it and went on to challenge Andre in one of the tightest Pro Junior finals yet. With both surfers showing the incredible standard of young surfers now coming out of Brazil, this was a close competition. Both competitors were neck and neck most of the way, however it was Muniz, cheered on by adoring fans, friends and family, who eventually took the title.
